Initial Direction Mood
Immersive visit to los angeles, and scouting around the roots streets of boyle heights in order to have the best local experience, since Gekko is from there.
Shot and Edited by Me and Milton Menezes in L.A, this video is a compilation edit with the composition and photographic shots creating the first idea of mood for our film. Based on this, backgrounds, shots, and general layout where crated afterwards.
This is also a key moment for alignment with Riot’s vision as well. Making the roject move forward in the write directions creative and production wise.
Gekko’s Personality
This a little bit of how we add our influences into the characters peronsality.
Riot had a very clear vision of who he need to be and keeping that was really important during assets production and aniamtion developing.
Animatic
After selecting the main shots we started adding Gekko into the places the most representated L.A. This serves as a base for music lock and layout start.
